Located on the stunning west coast of Waiheke Island, Cable Bay Vineyards grew from a vision to hand-craft outstanding wines from the highest quality fruit, grown in small lot vineyards. Our first vineyard was planted on Waiheke Island in 1998 with Chardonnay and Bordeaux varieties. Now we grow more than 10 different varieties from Waiheke Island and Marlborough, including Syrah, Pinot Noir and Sauvignon Blanc. Since our inaugural vintage, we have received numerous awards confirming our dedication to producing expressive New Zealand wines, known for their subtlety, elegance and depth.

Our stunning venue on Waiheke Island includes the elegant, yet relaxed, Bistro with sharing style menu offering fresh, vibrant and beautifully plated dishes which showcase seasonal produce from our organic kitchen gardens. The Verandah's casual and contemporary setting provides an irresistible place to while away a few hours in style, luxury and comfort. The Mediterranean-inspired menu of sharing plates, slow-roasted meats and pizzas from our wood-fire oven is designed to share while you socialise. The venue also incorporates a working winery, cellar door for wine tasting, private event rooms, and the grass lawn which stretches out from the front of the restaurants down to Church Bay below, revealing breath-taking sea views across the Hauraki Gulf to Auckland city.
